Without further adieu, this is what I received in my July Birchbox! If you can’t tell, the theme was BRIGHT. This has been one of my favorite boxes. I fell in love with the Stila lipstick. Also, who doesn’t love hair products that smell like blackberries? Sorry it’s such a late post. I just thought, better late than never. No?`
Love & Laughter,
I purchased this box with my own money! The post does include a referral link though. If you sign up, I’ll earn some points. I appreciate it!
My good friend Molly Pingitore launched her own online boutique called The Cloth Closet.
For starters, this gal has some serious style.
Although we went to high school together, we didn’t become close friends until later after college. While in Ohio, we attended Bible study together and had lots of fun going to each other’s places and talking over hot tea/coffee.
Molly has a passion for Jesus, her family, and fashion. Her style is a mix of classic, country, boho, and glam. Molly is so much fun and filled with laughter. She’s a lead parent and her husband, Anthony, serves our country. They’re some of the best people I know in the whole wide world.
I’m super proud to say I was one of the first to order from her shop! (Formerly Sticks & Stones) I loved this fun necklace and thought it would go with just about anything.
Once it arrived I fell in love with the packaging. There was a little sachet to make it smell yummy, a hand-written card, and a surprise gift! The necklace was about $17 and Molly was kind enough to give me a discount for blogging about her products. I know I couldn’t get such a unique necklace anywhere else for that price!
The tassels are fun and the turquoise adds a little bit of a country/western flair. I rocked this over a floral dress and it complimented it really well. It’s in my jewelry arsenal. Truly, all you need is a plain t-shirt and this necklace to look put together.
Effortlessly chic is my thing!
Molly also included a pretty tassely belt! I love how this adds a little fun to the bottom of the outfit! Also, it was included FREE. What? That’s so nice! I can tell this lady is going places with her quick shipping, freebies, and great products.
Unfortunately I totally broke my necklace when I caught it on something. (Hands up if you’re a klutzy chick!) I am waiting to fix it with some little pliers so I can keep wearing it and repp’in The Cloth Closet. Currently, the shop isn’t carrying my fabulous necklace, but there is one similar called the Muti Color Glass Jewel Bib Necklace. It comes with earrings too for only $14.75.
Molly’s always hosting great sales and giveaways. You can check out her Facebook here

You won’t regret any purchases from The Cloth Closet 😉
I picked up these TOMS this summer from Journeys. I’ve wanted a pair for a long time. Dustin even has a pair in blue. When I saw these fun red/orange ones I bought them for $30. (I think) I’ve been wearing them with jeans. They fit well and look great. I’ve received a lot of compliments on how bright they are!
Do you like bright shoes? I love bright shoes that make me smile AND they give back!
July’s Ipsy Glambag was just so-so. Of the five samples included I really loved the Tarte Bronzer, the gel polish, and the sea salt spray. Obviously it’s October, so we’ll make this a little shorter than usual reviews. Here’s what my bag entailed!
Octavio Molina Hair La Playa Salt Spray
I was excited to get try this because I can never get my hair to look beachy. It always ends up looking frizzy and not very uniform. I like the smell of this product, but it didn’t seem to add that much texture to my hair. I haven’t used it for awhile.
tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer
A lot of beauty bloggers say this is one of their Holy Grails. I liked it a lot and was surprised that it blended well on my fair skin. I’ve used it a few times on my cheeks, along my jawline and on my forehead. When I wear it, I get asked if I’ve been in the sun. Win win! This sample alone is worth $10.
I’m always hesitant to try new cleansers. I’m happy with what I’m currently using so this sample will get donated.
Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Balm
Be A Bombshell is kinda a throw-in for Ipsy. I’ve not found a lot of their products to work well. This lip balm is nice, but it’s very pigmented. It’s easy to get smeared on your face once it’s applied. The color was nice, but I won’t be wearing it.
Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish
This polish is really pretty and was a good size! I liked the coral/orange color and received a lot of compliments on it. Now, it doesn’t stay on as long as a gel manicure, but it did go on really well and seemed to be a good quality polish. I would like to try more from this brand.
This month wasn’t my favorite. I liked the sample from tarte and thought the nail polish was a good addition. I’m getting tired of Be a Bombshell though. I hope I don’t get anymore products from them. What do you think?
